Can you eat
ornamental kale?
nutrients, kale is one o f the m ost nutritious
leafy greens you can eat. Although the
leaves o f low-growing ornam ental kale
often make th e ir way on to dinner plates
as a garnish, the taller varieties have better
flavors and textures fo r eating. Tall varieties
such as 'W interbor', 'Red Russian', o r
'Toscano' are equally appealing in the soup
pot o r a garden pot.
